Rain Beat

rain is music tip tapping on the windowpane

cleansing my soul with its rhythmic beating

sudden pouring brought people rushing running for cover

a shelter to wait out tears from the sky to subside
as seconds turn to minutes impatience increases

tapping of feet to rain's beat occupies time

while sweet scent of wet grass wafts through air

a biker dashes off on the street splashes 

unsuspecting bystander caught by surprise shrieking out loud

such is a scene i witness blessed i'm indoors
