Felt like we were students again!
I attended "Educating Entrepreneurs" by Prof. Michael Goldberg with other Asian Institute of Management (AIM) Masters in Entrepreneurship (ME) Alumni. Topic was how to get public funds: 1) Government and Donor Support 2) Creation of Intermediary Organizations 3) Leveraging Anchor Institution 4) Seed Acceleration 5) Angel Investors 6) Venture Capital
In line with this, there will also be a new Masters in Entrepreneurship program in AIM. Check the site http://www.aim.edu/ It will start in September. Launch would be on June 7.
On July 29, there will be scientists and engineers who will congregate in AIM. Their inventions will need people to adapt them and bring them to market. It will be a demo day for inventions.
I found the discussions about Entrepreneurship interesting; particularly what my co-ME alumni mentioned. I was inspired by Mary Grace Dimacali of Cafe Mary Grace, Annabel Jayne Tanco of Bizu, Vince Garcia, Dean Pax Lapid and other entrepreneurs there who shared their stories.
I think what make entrepreneurs great are: passion, ability to keep learning, thriving, innovating and connections/relationships that we build.
