Filipina Women's Network "Disrupt" Seminar & Book Launch at Makati Shangri-la

When Filipinas come together, there's certainly nothing we can't do. We'll go out of the box, break those walls down, succeed in our chosen fields, and mentor others to be at their best.

I attended an inspiring and life changing event organized by Filipina Women's Network entitled "Disrupt: Be Proud.  Be Loud. Leave No Doubt". It also launched a leadership book with the same name.  This gathering was the 11th Filipina Leadership Global Summit.

Smart Young Unintimidated session

Being a woman and a Filipina, at that, could pose challenges and stumbling blocks for some to overcome.  These Filipina women keep showing to the world that gender and race are not permanent barriers.  With determination, passion, hard work, and individual values they bring to the table, they reap the fruits of success.

There was also a Femtor Match session (mentoring with accomplished Filipinas)

We were grouped to different tables and each table had a Femtor. We had a few mintues to ask them questions.  Then when time was up, we had to move to a different table with another Femtor.  We asked them questions and moved to another table.  We kept doing that until time for this session was over. I really enjoyed asking remarkable women questions and listening to their replies  during this mentoring session.

There wasn't enough time to go around all the tables with Femtors.  Those that I visited, I took pictures. I was inspired with their stories.
